Spurs in for Chamakh and Iaquinta as Bent heads for White Hart Lane exit

Harry Redknapp is reportedly interested in bringing in Bordeaux's Marouane Chamakh or Juventus forward Vincenzo Iaquinta to replace Darren Bent at Tottenham. Bent has struggled to impress at White Hart Lane since his £16million arrival from Charlton in the summer of 2007 - despite hitting 14 goals this season. He has been tipped to leave Spurs in the summer, leaving boss Redknapp looking for replacements to join Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko as his first-team strikers. Chamakh, 24, could be available for around £5million from Bordeaux and often plays as a second striker to Argentina international Fernando Cavenaghi, who has also generated interest from Barclays Premier League clubs. Iaquinta, 29, would be second choice, according to The Sun, and would be more costly at about the £8m mark. However, the Italy international has proved reluctant to leave Serie A and shunned talk of lucrative move to Zenit St Petersburg in January.
