Tottenham face stiff competition in their bid to sign Deportivo La Coruna ace Julian De Guzman.

They are now at the centre of a three-way tug-of-war to sign the Canadian international, who is available on a free in summer, with Villarreal and Sevilla also keen on his services.

Guzman, 28, plays just behind the strikers and agent Rodger Linse reckons Spurs boss Harry Redknapp faces a fight if he wants to land him.

In demand: Deportivo La Coruna forward Julian De Guzman

'More clubs will submit their bids for Julian - he is a very interesting player,' Linse said.

'He is a very good player and wants a good team to play for. He is not interested in the money, he wants to be part of a team.'
