Spurs defender Ledley King has to delay operation after losing his passport

Harry Redknapp's crazy week took a turn for the bizarre when defender Ledley King missed an operation in Germany after losing his passport.[LNB] Tottenham manager Redknapp - who saw his team ride their luck to win 1-0 at Blackburn in the Barclays Premier League - endured a madcap end to the transfer window as he missed out on late bids for Guisseppe Rossi and Charlie Adam.[LNB] Missed chance: Tottenham defender Ledley King (left)[LNB] But his patience was tested to the limit on Wednesday when injury-prone defender King failed to keep an appointment with a surgeon in Germany.[LNB] 'It's a long story but he couldn't find his passport,' bemoaned Redknapp.[LNB] 'So he hasn't had the operation.[LNB] 'He didn't have the passport so he couldn't fly.'[LNB] Madcap: Harry Redknapp on the touchline at Blackburn[LNB] King is now due to have the operation next week after finally locating his vital documents.[LNB] Midfielder Luka Modric, meanwhile, has an outside chance of making the Champions League game against AC Milan in two weeks after having his appendix out.[LNB] New signing Stephen Pienaar also missed last night's game after being kicked in the head in training.
