According to a report in the Mirror, the 27 year-old, who is in the middle of a one-year contract with Brazilian club Flamengo, is keen for a return to Europe. [LNB]Adriano is said to have a clause in his contract which will allow him to leave for nothing in January if a European club come in for him. [LNB]That is sure to alert Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, who first signalled his interest in the former Inter Milan player last summer. [LNB]Adriano is desperate to secure a World Cup squad place and has indentified a move back to Europe as key to achieving his ambition. [LNB]Meanwhile, a representative of Gareth Bale believes the Wales international would be interested in a move to Italy, but has denied a deal is on the table from AC Milan. [LNB]Reports have surfaced suggesting AC Milan are set to swoop for the Tottenham player and team-mate Roman Pavlyuchenko in a swap deal for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. [LNB]Huntelaar has failed to impress since moving to the San Siro in the summer from Real Madrid and the Rossoneri are keen to offload him in January. [LNB]Reports suggest they are planning on offering Huntelaar to Tottenham coach Harry Redknapp, who was interested in the Holland striker in the summer, in exchange for Bale and Pavlyuchenko. [LNB]However, agent Peppino Tirri insists there is nothing concrete at the moment and believes the only reason the 20-year-old is not in the first team at Spurs is because he has yet to regain full fitness. [LNB]"It's all nonsense," he told ilsussidiario.net. "The lad has not yet recovered 100 per cent and is not ready yet. [LNB]"But despite his young age, Gareth is already ready for a difficult league like the Italian one. [LNB]"Moreover, he would very much like to come to Italy." [LNB]
