Spurs boss wants more than finishing above Arsenal

Mauricio Pochettino insists that Tottenham are more determined to chase Chelsea to the Premier League title than concern themselves with finishing above their North London rivals, Arsenal.

“I think we’re playing and fighting for bigger things and if we look at the bigger picture it’s to try to reduce the gap with Chelsea," he said.

“It’s not important - the gap we have with Arsenal. The most important thing is to do our job, try to win games and try to reduce the gap with Chelsea.”

Spurs only need 11 points from their remaining seven games to guarantee finishing higher than the Gunners, but go into Saturday's game with Bournemouth five points clear of third-placed Liverpool and seven behind Chelsea.
