Great expectations: But Bentley has fallen short Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham flop David Bentley is ready to live up to his£15million price tag. The former Blackburn midfielder has been a huge disappointment since his big-money move to White Hart Lane with supporters already showing their displeasure after a number of lacklustre performances. Although Redknapp admitted the England man has not been good enough so far this season, he expects Bentley to improve dramatically after an encouraging display from the bench against Portsmouth on Sunday. He said: 'I spoke to him last week and told him what I expect from him and what makes a player. He went out and did that. 'That was the David Bentley I knew at Blackburn and Arsenal as a kid - not the David Bentley I've seen here too much. I think the penny has dropped and we'll see a different David Bentley from now on.'   More...
