Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp lavished praise upon new signing Kyle Naughton after his eye-catching display against West Ham in the Barclays Asia Trophy. The 20-year-old, who joined from Sheffield United last week, started on the right side of midfield and caused numerous problems for the Hammers defence on Wednesday night before Jermain Defoe's 75th-minute strike secured victory for Spurs. That win means Spurs will play Hull in tomorrow's final and Redknapp admitted he is excited by what he has seen of Naughton so far. 'He did very well,' he said. 'He is a fantastic player and has a great attitude. Hopefully he will be a Tottenham player for many years to come. 'The midfield was excellent, we controlled play in the middle and that was important.' Redknapp completed the signing of Peter Crouch from Portsmouth at the start of the week but would still like to add further to his squad. He said: 'We have good options and now we have Crouch. We are looking stronger and we need to push on and if I can improve the squad further before the start of the season then I will.'
