Tottenham and England international striker Harry Kane has been named the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for March.

The award, powered by the football platform 90min comes following Harry Kane’s outstanding form in the last month in which he scored five goals to help Tottenham remain in contention for a top four place in the Barclays Premier League. Kane is currently the top scorer in the Premier League this season with 19 goals alongside Chelsea’s Diego Costa.

Tottenham recorded three wins out of a possible four in March and Kane began the month by helping Tottenham to a 3-2 victory over Swansea at White Hart Lane. Kane then followed this up with both goals in the 2-1 victory over London neighbours QPR. Kane played the full 90 minutes as Tottenham lost to Manchester United 3-0. The Englishman put in a man of the match performance scoring a hat trick to help Tottenham beat Leicester 4-3 last weekend. Tottenham are currently 7th in the Premier League, six points behind Manchester United in the race for Champions League football.

Kane’s excellent form throughout March saw him win his first international caps with the Tottenham striker scoring less than three minutes into his debut against Lithuania. He then made his first international start and playing the full 90 minutes in last night’s 1-1 draw with Italy.

The PFA Fans’ Player of the Month awards are designed to give a strong voice to the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game. The awards are endorsed by the players and supported by the clubs.

One lucky fan voter will be chosen to present Harry Kane with the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award in person later this month.
