Spurs agree Ramos settlement

Tottenham have agreed an out-of-court settlement with Sevilla regarding former coach Juande Ramos, according to the Primera Liga club.[LNB] The Spanish outfit demanded compensation from their English counterparts after Ramos opted to head to White Hart Lane in 2007.[LNB]Sevilla accused Spurs of making an illegal approach for their coach, knowing he was contracted to the Andalusia outfit until the end of the 2007/08 campaign.[LNB]He broke that agreement in October 2007 and headed for an ill-fated 12-month spell in the Premier League.[LNB]He was relieved of his duties in North London in October 2008, with Tottenham languishing at the foot of the table.[LNB]A statement on Sevilla's official website has since announced that a settlement has been agreed for Ramos' appointment at Spurs.[LNB]Ramos was named on an interim basis by Spanish giants Real Madrid, overseeing the final six months of this season.[LNB]He has since been replaced at El Santiago Bernabeu by Chilean tactician Manuel Pellegrini.[LNB]
