Spurs agree compensation with Sevilla

Sevilla and Tottenham have reached an undisclosed compensation agreement over Juande Ramos' departure for White Hart Lane in October 2007.[LNB] The Primera Division club accused Spurs of an illegal approach for their coach, who was under contract at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan until summer 2008.[LNB] A short statement from the Spanish club on Monday night read: "Sevilla and Tottenham reached an economic agreement on Monday to resolve their legal dispute which arose as a consequence of the departure of Juande Ramos from Sevilla, in October 2007, to coach the English team. The club are happy with the agreement."[LNB] Ramos was sacked by Tottenham last October after 12 months at the helm, and spent the second half of last season leading Real Madrid to a second-place finish in La Liga behind Barcelona.
