Sevilla maintain interest in Tottenham's Didier Zokora

Sevilla are keen to sign Zakora but have so far been unable to match Spurs' £8 million asking price. Tottenham are believed to want to recoup as close to the £8.2m they paid French club St Etienne for Zokora's services after his impressive 2006 World Cup performances for the Ivory Coast. Sevilla have so far fallen well short of Spurs' valuation, but president Jose Maria del Nido is looking to raise funds by selling off those surplus to requirements at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium. He said: "We have a lot of money in the four or five players for whom we are trying to find a transfer. Everyone just has to stay calm." Meanwhile, it is understood Jamie Redknapp's new coaching role at White Hart Lane will see him help with training three times a week.
