Sandro targets title challenge

Sandro is confident Tottenham can push for the Premier League title next season while he also expects his own performances to improve.[LNB] Spurs showed they could compete against the finest sides in Europe with a magnificent debut campaign in the UEFA Champions League last term.[LNB]However, they struggled for consistency domestically and missed out on another top-four finish.[LNB]Sandro is nevertheless proud of Tottenham's achievements over the past 12 months and is now looking to push on and challenge for the title.[LNB]"I believe that we deserved more from last season," the 22-year-old told Hotspur magazine.[LNB]"We showed our quality by producing great performances in big games.[LNB]"Sometimes that's just how it goes in football. But we can still hold our heads up high and return next season as a stronger team.[LNB]"Tottenham have a strong squad with great players, so why not?[LNB]"We have proved that we can live with the best and the talent in the squad is definitely good enough to fight for the title."[LNB]Sandro moved to White Hart Lane from Brazilian club Internacional last summer and enjoyed a solid first season in English football.[LNB]He gradually became a more regular member of the starting XI and was happy with his form overall.[LNB]However, the midfielder, who has been linked with a move away from Spurs during the transfer window, still feels there is more to come.[LNB]He explained: "I believe I am well adapted for the characteristics of the English game because football here is for a tough and strong type of person.[LNB]"I think I have done well so far and can only improve with time."
