Brazil midfielder Sandro has agreed terms to join Tottenham Hotspur in a £6.5million move, but his club Internacional are determined to block a deal until the end of the season. [LNB]The 20-year-old has been barred from giving interviews because the Porto Alegre-based club fear he will try to force an immediate move to White Hart Lane.[LNB] Internacional want to keep him for their Copa Libertadores campaign. The competition is South America's equivalent of the Champions League. [LNB]The striker is edging closer to a return Russia, with Zenit St Petersburg, Lokomotiv Moscow and his former club Spartak Moscow all vying for his signature. [LNB]Sandro would not automatically be granted a work permit, but Spurs would argue before an appeal panel that his promise should make up for his lack of international caps. [LNB]  The holding midfielder made his Brazil debut during a World Cup qualifier in September and is seen as a potential long-term successor to former Arsenal star Gilberto Silva in his country's midfield. [LNB]Spurs chairman Daniel Levy held talks with Internacional president Vittorio Piffero last week and Sandro 's lawyer, Luiz Paulo Chignall, has been in London for talks with Tottenham. [LNB]Chignall said: 'We have now agreed all of Sandro 's personal terms - his salary, the length of his contract and so on, although nothing can yet be signed. [LNB]'Sandro is happy and ready to join Tottenham. We liked the offer. All that remains is for Tottenham and Inter to finalise the small details, including the transfer fee. I know that Daniel Levy is speaking to Vittorio Piffero.' [LNB]Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has also confirmed the negotiations.[LNB] 'Whether it happens or not, I'm not sure. He [Levy] has been speaking to the people there (at Internacional) and I know that he spoke to them again last week.' [LNB]There are complications over Sandro's ownership. Internacional own 70 per cent of his economic rights, with the remaining 30 per cent held by investors.  [LNB] Tottenham line up sensational swoop for former Arsenal midfielder FlaminiCompetition: Win a pair of tickets for Tottenham v Hull City on January 16Now for a Sol revival!
