Roman's Spurs days may be numbered after a spot of bother with reserves

Roman Pavlyuchenko's Tottenham future is far from certain after the striker failed to impress when he was demoted to the reserves. The Russia international was picked for the second string's 4-0 win over Chelsea at Leyton Orient but blasted a penalty over the bar and missed several chances. Pavlyuchenko has struggled to settle at White Hart Lane since arriving from Spartak Moscow last summer but has still managed 13 goals. However, the 27-year-old was left out of the win over Aston Villa at the weekend and played only the final few minutes of the previous game against Sunderland. Fraizer Campbell's double, Tom Huddlestone and Pascal Chimbonda sealed the reserves' win over the Blues.
