Roman Pavlyuchenko is dropped to Tottenham's reserves

The Russia international has apparently fallen behind Robbie Keane, Darren Bent and Jermain Defoe in the pecking order at Spurs, despite scoring 13 goals in his first season in English football. [LNB]The central defender, who is fighting a constant battle with knee injury, has given up the armband and is now free to concentrate on his own performance. [LNB]He said: 'When you can't play and you're captain, you feel a bit more responsibility to be there. Maybe that's helped. When I am playing, I can just concentrate on my game.' [LNB]Meanwhile, Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has been linked with French goalkeeper Yohann Pele. [LNB]The 26-year-old, who was recently called up to the France squad, is currently playing for Le Mans in Ligue 1, but his contract ends in June.
