According to the Mirror, Bale this week emerged as a target for Roma, despite the fact that he has yet to win a Premier League game for Tottenham after 24 starts. Bale has been plagued with injuries since arriving at White Hart Lane. He has played his part in nine draws during that time since arriving in May 2007 from Southampton. Burnleys mountainous task bigger than Everest, says Owen CoyleRoma, who finished sixth last season in Serie A, are understood to be keen on a loan deal, with Bale set to compete for his place at the Olympic Stadium with former Liverpool star John Arne Riise. Bale is also wanted by AC Milan after their recent bid to land FC Porto defender Aly Cissokho collapsed after a failed medical. Leonardo, Milan's new manager, is said to be keen on landing Bale and reports suggest that he is trying to turn him into the new Paolo Maldini, who retired at the end of last season. A third club, Inter Milan, are also monitoring Bale's progress. Inter manager Mourinho said last week: "Bale could be indispensable for any team and could prove to be a better player than Ashley Cole."
