Rodriguez shrugs off rumours
Atletico Madrid midfielder Maxi Rodriguez has shrugged off reported interest from Tottenham by insisting he wants to stay at the Vicente Calderon.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is thought to covet the Argentine international as he seeks to overhaul his squad.
But the 28-year-old says he is happy with Atletico as the club gear up for a tilt at the UEFA Champions League next term.
When asked about a possible exit, Rodriguez told Marca: "We will have to see how everything goes.
"I still have a year with Atletico but you have to see what happens.
"I am very, very happy here. When I arrive for pre-season I will do want the club wants me to.
"I do not care about the rumours regarding my possible exit. I am confident in my position and I am going to play."
