Richardson remaining realistic

Southampton defender Frazer Richardson insists he will have to work hard to force his way back into the team following his return from a dislocated shoulder. The 27-year-old picked up the injury just days after his arrival at the St Mary's Stadium and despite coming through 86 minutes of a recent Under-21s game, the Huddersfield clash might come too soon for him. Richardson revealed he is looking forward to being back in and around the squad, telling Saints Player: "Hopefully I'll travel up to Huddersfield and be involved with the team, and then take it from there. "It's going to be very difficult to get in though because Danny Butterfield's playing really well and it will be up to the gaffer as to what he wants to do, but I don't expect to go straight back into the team when they're winning when they're playing like they are doing."
