REVEALED: Spurs new kit - Yellow peril for Tottenham as shirts cut the mustard (colour)

25 June 2009 08:32
Tottenham have unveiled three no fewer than three new kits for the forthcoming season - and their fans are facing a streak of yellow peril as well as a costly trip to the club shop. The strips, manufactured by Puma, represent the three core club colours of white, blue and yellow, according to the club's publicity material. The new home kit - predominantly white but with yellow flashes -will first  be worn for the first time at Wembley for Spurs' match against Barcelona in the  Wembley Cup next month. Wembley will also showcase the new yellow third strip in the match against Celtic, with the navy away kit worn for the first time at White Hart Lane in the pre-season friendly against Olympiakos in August. Tottenham executive director, Paul Barbe said: 'We are privileged to have a great heritage and tradition at Tottenham Hotspur and the new range of  kit pays homage to the three key club colours used in previous kit throughout  the club's history.' The good news for fans, who face a complete club wardrobe overhaul, is that supporters will be given a free £5 giftcard with pre-orders over £50* and a free £10 giftcard with orders over £100* (*terms and conditions apply). Shirts are priced £45 - although you'll have to pay £5 more for larger sizes and long sleeves.
