Renteria - Spurs want me
Colombian international Wason Renteria claims Tottenham are interested in signing him.
The 23-year-old was signed by Porto in January 2007, but he has only featured in a handful of games for the Portuguese giants and last season was loaned out to Strasbourg.
After performing well in France he was again sent out on loan this year as he joined Sporting Braga.
Now Renteria claims that Spurs are showing an interest in him.
"Some teams have been rumoured and some things are being said. I think the people who represent me have already been making some calls. I think Tottenham have approached," he told futbolred.com.
"I don't know what will happen in the future.
"My mind is focused on finishing the campaign at Sporting Braga in good form and I'm very thankful to this club.
"The English and Greek leagues are the important ones in Europe. The Premier League is a good championship and I hope I have the chance to play there.
"Playing in England would be good. It's something I dream of as a professional.
"I hope the negotiations can be sorted out in order to speak about more
concrete things."
