Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp believes injury-prone defender Ledley King still has an important role to play in the club's bid to break into the top four this season, despite his latest sideline setback.[LNB]Best is yet to come: Redknapp backs injured King[LNB]The White Hart Lane boss expects to be without King for a 'few weeks' after the centre-half suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem during the 2-0 win over Sunderland before the international break two weeks ago.[LNB]Although England boss Fabio Capello has ended the 29-year-old's distant hopes of making next year's World Cup in South Africa, Redknapp is confident King still has a bright future in the game at international level and at Spurs, with whom his contract expires next summer.[LNB]'I still value him very highly. He is a fantastic player when fit, up there with the best there is,' said Redknapp, who has the option to offer King an extended one-year deal. [LNB]'He just needs a run of five or six games to get himself going.[LNB]'At the moment, he keeps picking up niggles, so he is short of match fitness, but I still think we will get enough games from this season.'[LNB]Capello, however, insists it would be impossible to select King for the 2010 World Cup finals but Redknapp reminded the Italian that when fully recovered and at full fitness, the Spurs favourite is an option to ignore at his peril.[LNB]'It's just my opinion, but even if he could only play two games, he could still prove to be vital for England,' he added.[LNB]'What a player to have to step in if someone is out injured.'[LNB]  Carlo Cudicini on long road to recovery as Spurs keeper is released from hospital after horror bike crashPICTURED: 'Idiot' Crouch heeds Harry's words on quiet night out with missusTottenham's rearranged clash with Wigan causes supporters' uproarTOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FC
