Redknapp rules out exit

Harry Redknapp has dashed rumours suggesting he is set for an imminent exit from Tottenham. Bookmakers have been left bemused after receiving a flurry of bets on the Spurs chief becoming the first Premier League boss to leave his post this season. Redknapp's odds had been slashed from 66/1 to evens at one stage on Friday. Speculative stories have put forward a number of possible reasons as to why Redknapp could be about to leave White Hart Lane, but the man himself insists he is going nowhere. He said: "I'm definitely not leaving. It's absolute nonsense. Absolute rubbish. "I couldn't be happier than I am here. There's not a chance of that happening. I love it here and I have no intention of leaving. It couldn't have gone better for me." No truthSome of the early rumours claimed that Redknapp was set to take in a third spell at Portsmouth, with the South Coast club currently experiencing a tough time. Pompey, who are still without a point this term, sit bottom of the top-flight table and have seen their financial woes compounded by the news that new owner Sulaiman Al Fahim, who has promised to inject £50million, has been taken into hospital in Dubai. However, Redknapp has distanced himself from a return to Fratton Park, adding: "I left Portsmouth more than a year ago. Hopefully, Portsmouth will get sorted out. I don't know where people dream these stories up from. "I just hope the guy who is in hospital recovers and puts his money in and Portsmouth will be fine. It's been a difficult year for them. "They've sold £80million worth of players and it's sad to see them in that situation. "I just hope the guy sticks to his word and gives Peter Storrie (Portsmouth chief executive) the help he needs to sort the club out."
