Redknapp plotting a summer spending spree at Spurs

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has already started planning next season's assault on the Premier League. Spurs entertain struggling Newcastle on Sunday but Redknapp has one eye on the summer transfer market. The former Portsmouth boss has taken his side to the brink of European qualification and Redknapp reckons a couple of new faces will help the team mix it at the business end of the table when the new campaign starts in August. He said: 'In the summer, I want to strengthen the squad a little bit in one or two areas. 'There will be one or two lads who are not playing who will want to play. Those who are not in the team at the moment will not be happy. We are looking to bring one or two in.'
