Redknapp - Pav has Spurs future

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp insists he wants to keep Roman Pavlyuchenko at White Hart Lane. Pavlyuchenko's future in North London has come in for speculation despite only joining the club from Spartak Moscow last August. The Russian striker has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Spurs, but has not started a game for the club in over a month. He recently vowed to work hard to regain his place in the team and came off the bench to score the only goal of Saturday's London derby against West Ham United. Speaking after the match, Redknapp confirmed his intention to hang on to the 27-year-old, who he feels needs to improve the physical side of his game. "Of course, I want to keep all my best players," said Redknapp when asked if Pavlyuchenko had a future with the club. "He's done okay to be fair. He scored some decent goals at home, but I feel he is capable of more because he is an excellent player. "There is more adjusting to do, but technically he is a top-class player. "Sometimes he gets brushed off too easily and has to work harder for the team."
