Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp said Friday he expects to make a swift return after undergoing surgery for a heart problem.
Redknapp, 64, underwent a procedure on Wednesday to unblock coronary arteries after suffering chest pains and shortness of breath while working out on a running machine at his home.
The heart scare forced Redknapp to miss Spurs' Europa League tie against Rubin Kazan on Thursday, but the Tottenham manager told The Sun he expects to be back within "a couple of weeks."
"I haven't had a heart attack. It was just that the specialist told me the arteries needed doing now," Redknapp revealed.
"I feel fine and everyone tells me I will soon be feeling better than ever.
"I'm lucky that I work in an industry where there are experts and specialists on hand to look after you properly."
Redknapp said because of next week's international fixtures, disruption to Spurs domestic campaign would be kept to a minimum.
"After that I'll be back in at Tottenham and back on the training pitch," he said.
Redknapp, who is strongly tipped to succeed Fabio Capello as England manager next year, said the incident would not cut short his career.
"This isn't going to stop me doing the job I love," he said. "I love my football and won't be walking away any time soon."
