Redknapp: Defoe is on fire
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admitted Jermain Defoe is playing as well as he has ever seen after the striker smashed a stunning hat-trick against Hull.
The Spurs boss has worked with Defoe since the start of his career, taking him under his wing at Bournemouth.
And following the 5-1 romp at the KC Stadium, Redknapp said: "Defoe looked almost unplayable, his form is absolutely electric. He looks stronger than I have ever seen him and I have known him since he was 14.
"He has done a lot of work in the gym in the summer and he looks even more explosive. If he continues to play like that he has got no problems."
