Redknapp admits injury fears
Harry Redknapp admits he has injury concerns in the wake of Tottenham's late 2-1 win over Birmingham at White Hart Lane.
Spurs kept their 100 per cent start to the season intact as Aaron Lennon struck in injury-time after Peter Crouch's second-half
opener had been cancelled out by Lee Bowyer.
But the victory was marred for manager Redknapp after Ledley King was substituted at half-time with a groin injury and Luka Modric limped off shortly after the restart.
Redknapp confesses he has serious concerns regarding injury-prone King, while the setback for Modric, who has been excellent this season, is also a blow.
He said: "Ledley has done his groin and we don't know how long he will be out yet. But Modric's looked like a nasty injury on the side of the right calf.
"If we lose Ledley and Modric with Michael Dawson and Jonathan Woodgate already out, the squad is a bit short."
Redknapp was delighted with his side's performance in the first half, but was pleased to sneak the points after watching Birmingham fight back.
He added: "We battered them and should have been out of sight by half-time.
"Crouch was terrific and could have scored three or four today, but we gave a terrible goal away which gave them heart.
"They came back strongly and looked as likely to win it as we were in the last 15 minutes. In the end it's a great result and a great 12 points so far."
Tottenham assistant manager Joe Jordan believes the last-gasp win offers an example of Spurs' progress.
"Last year, it went against us on three or four occasions when we conceded a goal in the last minute and it cost us," he told Sky Sports.
"Today, I think it is an indication of the direction we are going. We certainly have improved."
