Real Madrid offer cash plus Di Maria to sweeten Bale deal

The pressure has been piled on Tottenham as Real Madrid have offered cash plus Angel Di Maria to get their man.

Carlo Ancelotti has taken control of the Spanish giants, and Argentine winger Di Maria, is one of several stars Ancelotti is willing to exchange.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has made Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Spurs winger Gareth Bale his prime targets.

Ancelotti claims that his side doesn’t need drastic changes, but the addition of Suarez and Bale, perhaps even Cavani, who is thought to be on their radar, would really give Madrid that much needed firepower – and then some.

Spurs have retaliated by tabling a deal worth £170,000-a-week for the Welshman, but Real are said to be planning on intensifying their pursuit.

A dream team is their vision.

Luis Suarez partnering up with fellow countryman Edinson Cavani, aided by Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo is just a jaw-dropping prospect – heart stopping even.

If they could, I’m sure AVB and Chairman Levy would chain Bale to the gates of White Hart Lane, and physically beg him to stay (if they haven’t already).

But if Real do step up their pursuit, Spurs could perhaps bleed this deal for all it’s got. Maybe even ask for Di Maria, Karim Benzema and cash? Or bring back fan-favourite Luka Modric?

But would that fill the void?

Bale still remains tight-lipped about the situation. Perhaps he’s too busy learning Spanish? Or maybe he’s playing the role of a showman, making every Spurs fan sweat with fear, waiting for the right time to say, “I’m staying.”
