Kyle Walker nominated for Barclays sponsored PFA Young Player of the Year 2012

Kyle Walker returned to Tottenham for the start of the 2011/12 season after spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.

Walker appeared in the starting XI for Tottenham against Manchester United at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season.

On October 2nd, he scored the winning goal in the North London derby win over Arsenal with a 25-yard strike and giving Spurs a 2-1 win.

His good early season form saw him selected for the England squad for the friendly with Spain and he made his debut coming on as an 85th minute substitute for Scott Parker.

Walker made his first start for England on 15 November 2011, in a friendly match with Sweden, the 21-year-old received the man of the match award for his performance.
