Peter Crouch impresses watching Fabio Capello with Spurs hattrick

Capello has seen Jermain Defoe establish himself as a key member of his squad with a series of impressive displays this season but Crouch seized centre stage at Deepdale. While Defoe also added to his fine run of form in front of goal this season, Robbie Keane got in on the act before Crouch completed his fine hat-trick with a back-heeled finish. "It was a good hat-trick from Crouchie and good to see Robbie and Jermain get one each as well," Spurs manager Harry Redknapp said. "Pavlyuchenko was injured, otherwise he might have scored and made it even harder for me. It's a nice problem to have." The other plus points on the night, and something also to give Capello food for thought was the performances of Aaron Lennon and Tom Huddlestone. "Tom Huddlestone was excellent at centre-back and could play in that position regularly, I'm sure," Redknapp added. "That's where he started out and he is always composed. Aaron Lennon also did well when he came on, plus Michael Dawson finally returned after being out so long through injury."
