Pekhart makes Spurs exit

Czech Republic striker Tomas Pekhart has quit Tottenham to return to his homeland with provincial side FK Jablonec. The 20-year-old has signed a long-term contract with his new club. Jablonec owner Miroslav Pelta said it was the most expensive transfer in their history, but no financial details were released. Spurs signed Pekhart four years ago when he was just 16, but the forward spent last season on loan at Slavia Prague after failing to earn regular football at White Hart Lane. Before moving to Slavia, he spent six months on-loan at Southampton in the Coca-Cola Championship.
