Rangers ace Pedro Mendes expects to recover from a knee injury to face Hearts - but claims St Mirren's Will Haining could have broken his leg.The former Tottenham and Portsmouth player was carried off on a stretcher during Rangers' 3-0 Homecoming Scottish Cup semi-final win on Saturday.Haining's boot appeared to catch Mendes on the knee after the Saints defender had got his foot to a high ball.No free-kick was awarded but the Portuguese player was scathing about the challenge, even though he expects to be fit for the SPL clash against Hearts at Ibrox on Sunday."I should be okay to play this weekend," Mendes said in the Evening Times."My knee swelled up quite a bit but I should be fit."If my foot had been planted on the pitch, then that kind of tackle could have broken my leg."These are some of the tackles that can happen in Scotland; it is a harder, tougher and faster kind of football than the English Premier League."[LNB]
