Pavlyuchenko seeks Spurs assurances as he rules out return to Spartak Moscow

Roman Pavlyuchenko has ruled out a return to Spartak Moscow. The striker has struggled at Tottenham Hotspur since signing from Spartak for £13.8million last summer. But his agent Oleg Artemov says that the 27-year-old has no intention of going back to Russia. With Villarreal, Stuttgart, Roma and Besiktas also interested, Artemov told Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta:'Roman will not return to Spartak. 'Whatever the rumour, he has tastedEuropean football and only wants to play in on of the major leagues.' Pavlyuchenko intends to seek clarification on his White Hart Lane future when he returns to London next week. The Russia international said: 'I am flying back to London on July 7because Tottenham's first training session after the vacations is a day later. 'As for the rumours about my future, there are so many that I stopped paying attention to them. 'I need to return to London and maybe then I will understand what my situation is.'
