Wilson Palacios is confident Tottenham can improve their position in the Premier League table.
Spurs made a disastrous start to their campaign with two points from their opening eight games, leading to the dismissal of Juande Ramos.
They have improved under Harry Redknapp but have struggled for consistency and remain entangled in the relegation battle.
They are currently 12th with 32 points, only five points clear of third-bottom Blackburn in a congested section of the league.
Palacios, a January signing from Wigan, nevertheless believes Tottenham should be looking up rather than down.
The Honduran midfielder has been praised a number of times by Redknapp since his arrival and he feels the manager holds the key to a strong finish to the season.
He said: "It's lovely when a manager gives you positive feedback about your game and it goes for the rest of the players in the squad - everyone likes to hear that and, obviously, we can improve ourselves with the manager's help.
"We are in a bit of a low position at the moment but we have good enough players to improve on our position. That is what we're all aiming for."
Palacios is hoping to continue to progress as a player after a bright start to his White Hart Lane career.
He said: "The fans have been very positive with me as well and I'll be working very hard to keep that going. I'm hoping that things improve.
"I'm here at a very important club and it is an important time of my life."
