Rafael van der Vaart scored twice as Tottenham - once again captained by Luka Modric - beat Orlando Pirates 3-0 to win the Vodacom Challenge in the last match of their pre-season tournament in South Africa.[LNB] Van der Vaart netted in each half and Jermain Defoe added a third for as Harry Redknapp's men claimed their first win in three matches on tour.[LNB] Lift off: Jermain Defoe's volley beats Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa[LNB] Van der Vaart curled in a 35th-minute free kick and the Holland midfielder broke clear for his second in the 53rd after a defence-splitting pass from left back Benoit Assou-Ekotto.[LNB] Defoe's volley at the far post from a Gareth Bale cross made it 3-0 with three minutes left.
