Orient swoop to sign Spurs stopper
eyton Orient anager Russell Slade has snapped up former Tottenham goalkeeper Lee Butcher on a one-year deal after he left White Hart Lane.[LNB] The 21-year-old ends a stint of three years at White Hart Lane and will provide Jamie Jones with competition for the O's number one spot.[LNB]Butcher was on loan at Brisbane Road for a month last season, providing cover when Jones was sidelined with a head injury, but failed to make an appearance from the substitutes bench.[LNB]"I'm really please to have signed for Leyton Orient and I'm looking forward to the opportunity here," Butcher told the club's official website.[LNB]"I'm going to try and push Jamie, try to get into the first team and make a name for myself."[LNB]Butcher is the third player to join Orient this month following the arrivals of Alex Revell and George Porter.
