Tony Adams felt his Portsmouth side deserved their point at the Lane on Sunday.
David Nugent opened the scoring for Pompey with 59 minutes on the clock of a pulsating game with Jermain Defoe levelling 10 minutes later.
We had the better of the closing stages as Sean Davis cleared off the line, Defoe fired just wide and Darren Bent headed a golden chance wide.
David James earlier denied Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Ledley King and was described as 'magnificent' by his manager.
"We created a few chances and took the lead and I think draw was a fair result in the end," said Adams. "When they got back into it it looked like they might go on and win it, so it's a good point for us.
"We were resilient, battled and gave Tottenham a very difficult game. When the players play like that you've always got a chance.
"We could have walked away with with all three points, we could have walked away with nothing - I thought we deserved a point."
