Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has revealed how he was offered a new deal by the club after his Carling Cup final heartache. The England Under 21 international missed in the penalty shootout as Spurs surrendered the trophy to Manchester United at Wembley in March. It was the second time O'Hara had endured Carling Cup final misery, having been left out of Juande Ramos' squad for the victory over Chelsea 12 months earlier. But new boss Harry Redknapp and chairman Daniel Levy immediately took the youngster to one side after the defeat to offer him improved terms at White Hart Lane. O'Hara told The Sun: "To miss was a big disappointment. "When I got off the bus from our team hotel the following day, the manager and the chairman took me to a room and said not to worry about the penalty. "They said they wanted me to have a new deal. It really lifted me."
