O'Hara heads to Pompey

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Jamie O'Hara has joined Portsmouth on loan but has also committed his long-term future to Tottenham by signing a new deal.[LNB] The versatile midfielder has made 56 appearances for Spurs since making his debut in 2007, scoring seven goals in the process.[LNB]Having come through the London club's academy, he has now been rewarded with a contract extension that ties him to White Hart Lane until 2013.[LNB]However, Tottenham have agreed to let O'Hara move to Portsmouth on loan until January as he could not be guaranteed regular football over the next few months.[LNB]Pompey would then have the option to extend the 22-year-old's loan deal if they wanted to keep him for the remainder of the season.[LNB]Games"I hope I can come here and get some games under my belt," O'Hara told Portsmouth's official website.[LNB]"It's a chance to play for a side who have done really well over the last few years, so I jumped at the opportunity.[LNB]"I'm always going to give 100 per cent and hope I'll fit in straightaway and get to know the lads quite quickly."[LNB]Paul Hart has moved quickly to strengthen his squad since Sulaiman Al Fahim completed his takeover at Fratton Park earlier this week.[LNB]Tommy Smith, Michael Brown, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Aruna Dindane have all arrived on the South Coast over the last couple of days.[LNB]
