Obika makes Glovers return

Yeovil Town have re-signed Tottenham Hotspur striker Jonathan Obika on loan. Obika impressed during an initial temporary spell with the Glovers last season, scoring four goals in 10 appearances last term. The 18-year-old will link up with his Spurs team-mates Ryan Mason and Steven Caulker, who are also on loan at the League One side, at Huish Park. Meanwhile, new signing Andy Lindegaard is hoping to earn an extended deal at Huish Park after returning to the Glovers on a one-month deal last week. The former Cheltenham Town defender left Yeovil in 2007 to join the Robins, but has returned to his hometown club and he told skysports.com that he is glad to be back after two years away. "It's great to be involved in football again after a frustrating summer, but there are a lot of players in that situation and I'm just glad to have got everything sorted, even if it is only a short-term deal at the moment," Lindegaard said. "I'm really looking forward to the game tonight against Norwich (in the Carling Cup) and hopefully I can be involved at some stage. "I'd love to earn a more permanent deal here, but we will just take each game as it comes and continue to work hard in training. The manager knows everything about me and my game, so we will just see how things pan out at the end of the month." The 28-year-old was not signed early enough to feature during their opening day 2-0 win over Tranmere and he knows that it won't be easy to break into the side after their impressive start to the season. "The lads had a great result on Saturday and played very well, so we'll just have to wait and see whether I can earn a place in the side for tonight. I signed too late on Friday to be involved on Saturday, so today is the first chance for me to make my debut. "I've been training on my own during the summer, but I also did some training with Yeovil and Kidderminster plus a couple of other clubs, so I am fit and ready to play and I'm really looking forward to it."
