Nugent's timely reminder
David Nugent staked his claim to replace Tottenham bound Peter Crouch in the Portsmouth side with a hat-trick in a 6-1 friendly win over Eastleigh.
Pompey on Monday agreed a deal with Spurs for the transfer of England striker Crouch, overshadowing the display from Nugent, who has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Fratton Park.
Younes Kaboul, Paris Cowan-Hall and Danijel Subotic were also on target for Paul Hart's side, while Brett Williams netted for the hosts.
