Modric gives Tottenham a boost as he returns to action after broken leg

Luka Modric steps up his comeback from a broken leg by playing in a behind closed doors friendly for Tottenham on Tuesday.

The Croatia international has been sidelined since the 2-1 win over Birmingham in August after suffering the injury in a tackle with Blues midfielder Lee Bowyer.

Modric has spent the last couple of weeks training with the youth team to help build up his fitness after missing the last three months of the season.

And the 24-year-old is hoping to win his race against time to be fit for the Premier League clash with struggling Wolves at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
