Martin desperate for action
Southampton youngster Aaron Martin is determined to break into the first team this season.
The 20-year-old defender skippered Saints in their last pre-season friendly against his old club Eastleight earlier this week and wants to force his way into the reckoning regularly.
"I've got my head down and worked hard, as a lot of the lads have, and I can't wait for the season to start," he said.
"I'm looking to play in as many games as I can and if I get my chance, hopefully I will take it.
"The coaching staff have taught me so much and I've learnt a lot from Rahdi Jaidi and Jose Fonte too, so I just want to keep working hard and take my chances."
