Luk who's back: Modric returns to training[LNB]Luka Modric will inform Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp that he is still determined to quit the club, despite being told he will not be allowed to leave at any price.[LNB]The midfielder flew in from Croatia and went straight to a 40-minute meeting at White Hart Lane with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.[LNB]Modric left deeply unhappy, however, with Levy insisting that he is not prepared to sanction any deal.[LNB]'Everything was fine, we had a very good conversation and as I said previously, Luka Modric will not be sold,' claimed Levy.[LNB]Thechairman held further discussions with Modric's agent Nikky Vuksan and tried to dampen down speculation about a player determined to get back in the Champions League next season with Chelsea.[LNB]Levy added: 'It's the end of it. As Isaid a few weeks ago, there's no further discussion on it. He was on holiday, we've now had the conversation and he understands our position.[LNB]'I'm sure once he's back with his team-mates here everything will be fine. This isnot about money. We're not selling our best players.'[LNB] You're going nowhere! Luka Modric (left) has been told he will be staying at Tottenham[LNB] But though Tottenham have already turned down a ?22million offer from Chelsea, Modric reported for pre-season training on Thursday morning and will repeat to Redknapp his desire to go. [LNB]Vuksan said: 'I don't think he'll hand in a transfer request. He will honour his contract. He wants to play Champions League and win trophies. The only way we can resolve this is to sit down and talk.'[LNB]He added: 'I have never been in a situation before where a player has had to fight a club and it's not something we want to do. The only official offer so far is from Chelsea and we haven't talked to any clubs.'[LNB]Redknapp said: 'It's difficult when crazy sums of money are being bandied about. But we need to keep Luka and all our best players if we are to improve.'[LNB] Staying put: Daniel Levy insists Tottenham won't be selling their best players this summer[LNB]  Tottenham remain keen on Spanish star Mata despite insisting Modric will stayModric set for Spurs showdown talks as Chelsea target jets in from CroatiaMartin Samuel: Just read my lips... you must not take the lucre for Luka, DanielSpurs boss says Modric and Bale will stay as Redknapp blasts Blues' bid for LukaAll the latest Tottenham news, features and opinion [LNB]
