London riots leave Tottenham players living in fear

Heurelho Gomes says the Tottenham squad are living in fear following the London riots that caused mayhem across the capital.[LNB]The violence started close to White Hart Lane on Saturday night and Spurs' Premier League opener at home to Everton at the weekend is under threat.[LNB]Gomes, who lives in Chigwell, Essex, says he and his team-mates have been left shocked by the events of the last week. We've spoken in the dressing room and the club have told us to stay home and avoid the streets.My home is in Chigwell, about 20 minutes from the centre of the riots and that's a danger. This happens in Brazil but we never believed it would be possible in England. We're watching the situation all day.'
