Leonardo eyes double deal
AC Milan coach Leonardo admits his side need to bring in a defender and a striker in order to be competitive this season.
The Italian giants have endured a summer that has seen them lose talisman Kaka to Real Madrid, while their own attempts to strengthen have been thwarted.
A deal for long-term target Luis Fabiano has stalled as Sevilla haggle over the Brazilian's price, with speculation hinting at alternative moves for David Trezeguet, Nicklas Bendtner or Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Leonardo is open to the idea of bringing in fresh firepower but also recognises the need to add a new face to an ageing defence.
"I can't say the group is incomplete, but we need a striker and a defender," he conceded.
Milan have also been linked with a surprise move for Tottenham full-back Gareth Bale.
Paolo Maldini's decision to finally hang-up his boots has left Milan short at left-back and if reports from Italy are to be believed, out of favour Bale has emerged as a possible target.
