Lennon not getting carried away

Aaron Lennon has stressed that Tottenham will continue to take it 'game by game' following their fantastic start to the season. Spurs have won their opening four Premier League matches and are currently level on points with Chelsea at the summit of the table. Tottenham's form has sparked debate about a possible top-four finish but Lennon insists the players will not be getting carried away. The winger, who has scored late winners in each of Spurs' last two games, is focused on trying to keep the run going for as long as possible. "It's been a great start and confidence is sky high at the moment," Lennon told the club's official website. "But we're taking it game by game - we're going well now and we are determined to try and maintain it." Spurs made a disastrous start last term and were bottom of the table with just two points from eight games when Harry Redknapp came to the club. Lennon added: "The squad has had more time to play together and last season I think we were unlucky as well, things weren't going our way. "This season we've scored a couple of late goals and the team has started better. We had a good pre-season together and the squad has gelled."
