Late show: Lennon celebrates scoring for Tottenham England winger Aaron Lennon insists Tottenham Hotspur are keeping their feet firmly on the ground despite their perfect start to the season in the Barclays Premier League. Spurs have won their first four games and are second in the table on goal difference behind leaders Chelsea. But Lennon, who has scored two late winners for Spurs against West Ham and Birmingham City, says they will not let their early successes go to their heads. He said: 'It's been a great start and confidence is sky high at the moment. But we're taking it game by game - we're going well now and we are determined to try and maintain it. 'The squad has had more time to play together and last season I think we were unlucky as well, things weren't going our way. 'This season we've scored a couple of late goals and the team has started better. We had a good pre-season together and the squad has gelled.' Lennon whas been called into Fabio Capello's England squad for Saturday's friendly against Slovenia at Wembley and next Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Croatia at the same venue. And the 22-year-old says his form for Spurs can only help his chances of a starting place for England. He said: 'I suppose it can only help my chances, but I'm only concentrating on playing well for Spurs and if I get a shot at England, I'll take it from there.'
