Kranjcar reassured by Redknapp

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has assured Niko Kranjcar that he remains part of his plans despite not starting him yet this season.[LNB] The Croatia international was again on the bench for the midweek Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal, despite Spurs making a host of changes.[LNB]The recent arrival of Rafael van der Vaart has increased competition for places at White Hart Lane, but Redknapp insists the likes of Kranjcar, David Bentley and Giovani dos Santos will get their chances in the side this season.[LNB]"I've got a lot of games coming up and Niko is very much in my plans to play," Redknapp told the Daily Star. [LNB]"David Bentley needed a game against Arsenal, but Niko played two internationals for Croatia in the last break. [LNB]"It wasn't like he was desperate to get a game this week. I felt he was OK. [LNB]"Giovani (dos Santos) and David needed to play and that is why I went with them."
