Ledley King claims that being stripped of the Tottenham captaincy will make it easier for him to deal with his crippling injury problems.
The Spurs central defender, who has a long-standing knee injury, was stripped of the armband by White Hart Lane manager Harry Redknapp, who handed it to Robbie Keane after the striker re-signed for the club.
King told The Sun: 'When you can't play and you're captain, you feel a bit more responsibility to be there. Maybe that's helped. When I am playing, I can just concentrate on my game.'
