King: Losing Spurs armband lets me concentrate on beating my injuries

Ledley King claims that being stripped of the Tottenham captaincy will make it easier for him to deal with his crippling injury problems. The Spurs central defender, who has a long-standing knee injury, was stripped of the armband by White Hart Lane manager Harry Redknapp, who handed it to Robbie Keane after the striker re-signed for the club. King told The Sun: 'When you can't play and you're captain, you feel a bit more responsibility to be there. Maybe that's helped. When I am playing, I can just concentrate on my game.'
